What can I do for you?
I’m a specialist in our corporate team. My work includes helping clients, who range from large multinational companies to individuals, buy, sell or invest in companies and businesses in the UK and overseas. As part of one of the UK’s largest corporate teams, I also advise on re-organisations and management buy outs and have experience of working across a number of industry sectors including the media, healthcare, food and drink, retail and insurance.
Supporting my clients' objectives
The work I do is pretty varied and no two days are the same. I have worked closely with a number of corporate clients on their acquisition and investment strategies, including acting for the media group Archant for a number of years on a series of magazine and newspaper title acquisitions, which has helped it become the UK's largest independently owned regional media business. I also recently acted in a project management role on a significant and complex re-organisation for the Archant Group, helping them to simplify and realign their legal structures to bring them more into line with the markets that they serve.
I have also acted in project management roles for large multinational organisations, including working closely with a private equity backed business on the implementation of a complex multi-jurisdictional reorganisation across Central and Eastern Europe. As a result, I understand all too well the importance of delivering complex deals on time and to budget.
I also frequently act for family shareholders in selling businesses that may well have been in the family for generations and understand well the emotional as well as business issues which are often at stake.
I enjoy the technical side of company law and have helped a number of clients navigate through the complexities of the Companies Act.
