What can I do for you?
I am an associate in the family team. I aim to provide top-quality practical advice, in a sensitive way, at what may be a very difficult time in your life. I care about the outcome of your case, while maintaining a calm professional approach.
I have many years of experience dealing with financial settlements on family breakdown and the other related issues, and also drafting pre/post-marital agreements. As well as dealing with complex detailed cases, often involving business interests, trusts, pensions and international issues, I can also provide focussed and effective advice in cases that are more straightforward.
Supporting my clients’ aims and objectives
I want to understand your circumstances and what you aim to achieve, and to help you to get there in the most appropriate way for you. I will help you to assess your aims to make sure they are practical and realistic, and come up with solutions for dealing with issues as they arise. I will make sure you have a clear plan, and help you to follow or adapt it as necessary.
What do others say?
We are very proud of our family team at Mills & Reeve and were delighted when this was recognised at the Legal Business Awards, where we won Private Client Team of the Year 2009. We aim to provide excellent clear advice tailored to the individual needs of our clients. Chambers UK describes us as maintaining “an excellent reputation for cost-effective, high quality family work. As part of a nationwide network of offices, the team has the expertise to handle any and all family-related matters”.
On a personal level, Chambers UK says that I am “amazing on technical details and extremely easy to get on with”. Clients have said that I have a “careful and conciliatory style in handling things”, and that I “certainly do not shy away from playing hardball if required”, while another was “extremely impressed by the highly professional manner in which my case has been handled – also the level of empathy and compassion shown to me during the course of the case”.
What else should you know?
I am committed to a collaborative approach to family law issues whenever possible, and I am a member of the local collaborative group. I also chair the Manchester area Resolution committee and sit on the national standards committee of Resolution. These interests help me and our team stay at the forefront of developments in family law with the aim of providing the best possible advice and service to my clients.
