What can I do for you?
I’m a specialist lawyer practising exclusively in family law. My work primarily involves giving legal advice to married and unmarried individuals undergoing separation and divorce. I also advise on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements as well as on issues relating to children such as residence (formerly called custody) and contact (formerly access) arrangements.
Supporting my clients’ aims
Our family team is the UK’s largest and one of the most successful. We think that the size of our team benefits our clients because we can draw on our many years of combined experience, which is important because each family law case is unique and every individual has their own story. Our size means that our clients can also benefit from the expert help offered by other departments in our firm when the situation demands, such as in those cases involving complex corporate, tax or property issues.

What else should you know?
I belong to Resolution, an organisation whose members are committed to resolving family law issues constructively. Although most of my cases are normally settled without court proceedings being necessary, I am also experienced in and adopt a no-nonsense approach to those cases requiring litigation. I am currently the Chair of Resolution in the West and North Yorkshire region and have been assessed by Resolution as being an expert in complex divorce cases and am also a trained collaborative lawyer. I am regularly asked to contribute to the leading professional family law journals. Within my team, we also run a website called www.divorce.co.uk which is the UK's premier free resource for people who are going through a divorce or separation.
