I advise on long-term collaborative procurements, steering public authorities, private sector bidders, sub-contractors and funders through the bidding process. Understanding the issues that are important to each of these parties enables me to ensure that you will secure an allocation of risk that is appropriate when the project closes.
I particularly enjoy finding solutions to overcome any commercial obstacles that may arise to drive the transaction forward. As a partner in our projects team, my workload includes PFI and PPP projects and outsourcing contracts for local authorities and central government departments.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
I enjoy working with my clients as part of their extended delivery team, working to a shared goal. An example of this was a project for the Ministry of Defence for a high value engine maintenance contract. My team was asked to meet an extremely challenging timetable to assist to close the project before the Christmas holiday period. We achieved this at 8:30am on Christmas Eve morning and were praised by our client and the private sector partner for our support in delivering the project to timetable.

What else should you know?
I speak at national conferences on PFI issues. I helped to export the PPP concept when I led the legal team supporting the Government of the Republic of South Africa to deliver its first two PPP prisons projects. I also have two beautiful daughters!
