What can I do for you?
I’m a corporate lawyer with a broad range of experience in advising entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals and companies, both nationally and internationally, on realising value from their businesses whether by way of merger, acquisition, disposal or joint venture. I also advise on corporate reorganisations, share buybacks, reduction of capital procedures and general corporate governance issues and have experience across a number of industry sectors including healthcare, IT and financial services.
Supporting my clients’ ambitions
A recent highlight for me was working with an important client on a series of strategic acquisitions made by them over a six month period. We were involved in all aspects of the acquisitions from heads through to integration of the businesses post completion. By focusing on the issues important to our client and understanding their appetite for risk, we built a strong commercial relationship with our client that enabled us to deliver on a number of transactions in a relatively short timeframe.
As a team, we’re also committed to investing our time in understanding our client’s businesses. This helps us understand the particular issues affecting a client’s business or industry sector and to anticipate legal developments likely to impact on them.
What do others say?
My favourite comment came from a client who simply said that I “get things done” and this reflects the commercial, non-egotistical approach I take to transactional work. Understanding what is important to a client and fighting their corner is key to me: a client recently wrote that "I'm grateful to have him on my side" and that "I became part of their team".

One of my main responsibilities is editing our Corporate Bites, a monthly e-briefing giving directors and shareholders an insight into topical issues affecting companies.
