What can I do for you?
I’m a partner in our corporate team and I help clients buy and sell companies and businesses. This involves advising throughout a transaction, from the strategic planning stage through to the tactics during negotiations and getting to the heart of the technical issues. I also help clients in shareholder disputes, trying to find practical solutions to apparently intractable problems between entrenched shareholders.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
One of my most rewarding jobs was acting for a minority shareholder in a bitter shareholder wrangle. Over a period of about two years we managed firstly to prevent the majority shareholder taking absolute control. Next, we negotiated a buy-out of his holding for a reasonable price per share and finally sold to a PLC on a handsome multiple of this value.
More recently I helped an expanding company secure $60 million of funding in record time and well within budget.
This year I acted for the FSA on the sale of its ARM business to the London Stock Exchange.
