What can I do for you?
I am a partner and joined Mills & Reeve in 2002 from Hammonds.
I specialise in real estate with a particular emphasis on investment and development work. My role includes managing cross-departmental teams to deliver transactions on time and providing commercial advice to help clients (such as institutional pension funds, management houses, property companies, private investors and professional trustees) structure their proposals.
I can call upon our 52 real estate lawyers, plus specialists in our corporate, planning, corporate tax, construction, litigation and environment teams, which gives me the resources to service significant real estate clients. It also enables me to provide bespoke client teams that can work closely with our clients so that we really get to know each other and I can ensure the personal chemistry is right. By being based in Cambridge with offices in London, I can offer London based clients a quality service from an appropriately geared client team at competitive rates.
Mills & Reeve was recently ranked by Chambers UK 2012 as one of the top five firms in the UK, based on the number of top tier rankings that our practice areas achieved; overall we had the strongest performance of any top UK firm when measured as a percentage. It is this quality, allied to our strength in depth and regional cost base, that we offer to our clients, wherever they are based.
In 2011 our team completed on £400 million worth of assets, the highlights being the sale of Marble Arch Tower to Almacantar for £80m, the forward funding and purchase of the new Microsoft HQ and the £50m purchase of an industrial portfolio.
I understand what my clients want to achieve – and I can ensure the rest of our team do also – so your objectives are always met.
What do others say?

The real estate team is described as having "a good grasp on how the business works and an effective understanding of the client's needs and aims". The lawyers "are always available to discuss issues, complex matters are simplified and they are efficient in their management of deals".
