What can I do for you?

I am a solicitor in the family team who specialises in assisting clients through the often difficult experience of relationship breakdown. Our team has wide ranging expertise. We are able to advise you about the merits of pre and post-nuptial agreements, assist you to make the appropriate financial arrangements following relationship breakdown and towards agreeing arrangements for the children. We are quite used to dealing with family situations when the issues involve international complexities.

Supporting my clients’ ambitions

I listen to my clients in order to help them achieve their aims. To do so, I might suggest different methods of dispute resolution, such as mediation, collaborative law or court proceedings. Within the firm, there is a vast support network of specialist lawyers who can be called upon for input so as to ensure a holistic consideration of all issues that affect you when a relationship ends. This might include a consideration of trusts and estate planning, or company, corporate or agricultural advice. Such issues invariably present themselves as an integral part of the process of separation. Beyond the firm, we are able to recommend other specialists to help you, such as counsellors, financial advisers or accountants. We will work with you to make sure you are supported in the way you need throughout a difficult time.

What do others say?

We are very proud of our family team at Mills & Reeve, we were delighted when this was recognised at the Legal Business Awards, at which we won Private Client Team of the Year 2009. We pride ourselves on giving excellent, clear advice tailored to the individual needs of our clients. In addition, Chambers UK describes us as having “established itself as a national player in family work”.

We ask for our clients' feedback and often hear our team is approachable, helpful and always available to lend a hand. Clients have described me as “a safe and reliable pair of hands” and as having “a gift for listening”.

What else should you know?

I am a member of Resolution. Members of Resolution are committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.
