I am a specialist in mergers and acquisitions and company law here at Mills & Reeve. My work includes advising clients, who range from large multinational and public companies to individual investors, buy, sell or invest in companies and businesses in the UK and overseas. As part of one of the UK’s largest corporate teams, I have considerable experience in major cross-border transactions and have acted on many share issues on AIM and the official list and takeovers.
Supporting my clients’ ambitions
I have worked closely with clients to implement their acquisition and investment strategies, including acting for private equity groups on investments and acquisitions. I have particular experience of advising on cross-border transactions, including the sale of Mintech Semiconductors Limited to a USA multinational ASC Inc, PFE International Limited on its £27 million sale to Neopost SA and the purchase of BF1 Systems Limited from Beru AG in January 2011.
Closer to home, my team recently acted on the complex sale of a £100 million turnover food processing company to food industry giant, Cranswick Plc, and the management buy out of a division. In March 2011, my team advised Hughes Electrical Limited on its acquisition of Bennetts (Retail) Limited out of administration.
On the technical side of company law, I have also recently advised a public company client on its constitution and strategy and have delivered seminars on the implementation of the Companies Act 2006.
