What can I do for you?
I am a partner in the health team focussing on patient-related matters including, requests to fund new drugs, continuing healthcare disputes, judicial review claims, together with issues where performers actions give cause for concern. I also conduct appeals on behalf of the Care Quality Commission and regularly deliver client training. All this means that life is neither dull nor predictable!
Supporting my clients’ objectives
Most dentists don’t seek to take advantage of the system but those who do can create havoc on a PCT’s patch. I worked with a group of PCTs who had dentists using the general dentists contracts to get as much out of the system as possible while delivering, either themselves or through other performers, a less than acceptable standard of dental care. It took the determination of the group of PCTs and the implementation of a well thought out strategy, using all the legal options available (regulatory and contractual), to regain control of the situation. PCTs regained control of a significant portion of their budget for dentistry enabling them to commission services elsewhere.

I am proud to be part of a team which regularly receives extremely favourable feedback from clients regarding the quality of the advice given, the speed of response and generally going the extra mile. What else should you know?
In addition to my healthcare duties, I lead the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for our Birmingham office. CSR work is important to me and to the firm and I am grateful to be able to contribute in this way.
