What can I do for you?
I am a solicitor in a split role across family and matrimonial and private trusts and tax work. I spent two years training with Mills & Reeve and qualified in September 2009.
I spent the last year working in the matrimonial team, where my work included helping clients deal with all aspects of divorce, from initial enquiries and issuing proceedings, to contested court hearings and enforcement. I am currently focussing mainly on the trusts and tax side, including drafting wills and codicils, powers of attorney, drafting trust documentation and advising on the tax consequences of various actions.
Supporting my clients’ aims
Our clients have a wide range of aims and priorities, and I recognise the importance of working with each individually to ensure the best outcome is achieved in a timely manner. I tend to co-work with the tax partners to ensure suitable work is undertaken in a cost effective way.
With regard to my matrimonial work, while relationship breakdown is of course a difficult time for our clients, we aim to help them through the problems they face in a supportive and efficient way. As a more junior member of the team, I tend to support Nick Stone's practice by undertaking suitable work in a cost effective way.

I am a member of Resolution, a group for family lawyers dedicated to dealing with cases in an amicable and solution-focussed way. I have set up a "Young Resolution" group in Norfolk to provide training and social events for local family lawyers with up to six years post qualification experience. I also recently assisted in writing and publishing Divorce and the Farm, a valuable guide to this subject for both advisers and clients.
