What can I do for you?
I am a specialist in employment law. My work involves advising clients in both the public and private sector on a broad range of employment law issues.
Much of my work involves litigation or dispute resolution. Equally, I advise on internal processes and work in partnership with clients from an early stage in order to achieve practical solutions to issues before they escalate.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing a matter through to its conclusion, whether that be successfully defending a claim at tribunal or negotiating a favourable settlement agreement.
Listening to our client is key to identifying the best outcome in any situation and I recognise the importance of really getting to know my clients’ objectives. I have a passion for problem solving, which always involves a degree of lateral thinking, together with insight into our client’s business.
Providing proper support for our clients means being responsive and being just a phone call away. We pride ourselves on our client service and on fostering strong client relationships. Our clients might require highly technical advice but, for us, it is just as important to be approachable and accessible.
What do others say?
I have been delighted to receive client feedback thanking me for my “responsiveness, follow up” and “tenacity”.
After going the extra mile for one client, I was especially pleased to receive the comment: “I am extremely grateful for this and thank you for delaying your weekend to complete this for me. That’s what I call excellent customer care.”
What else should you know?
We provide bespoke client training seminars, which may be focused on any areas of particular interest to your organisation. As part of our employment team, I regularly prepare and deliver these seminars. (To look at our upcoming seminars, see the "Events and seminars" section on the right of this page.)
Outside the office I also provide pro bono legal advice through the Free Legal Advice Group (FLAG), run in association with the Citizens Advice Bureau.
