This is the first agricultural seminar to be presented by Mills & Reeve's Leeds office. Although contract farming arrangements are familiar and well established, they present a great number of legal and technical issues. Contract farming agreements exist on the very edge of what might really amount to a partnership or to a tenancy. It is all too easy to introduce new terms to the bargain which can inadvertently change the entire nature of the agreement. The rights and liabilities of a party to this kind of arrangement can be affected as much by the nature of the legal structure as by the contractual terms.
