I am a senior solicitor in one of the largest real estate teams in the United Kingdom. My work includes helping clients which range in size from small/medium local/regional businesses and individuals to national clients including corporate occupiers. I advise on a range of issues and matters relating to their varying commercial property ranging from landlord and tenant work to corporate acquisitions and disposals.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
As a team we often work with other teams on corporate acquisitions and disposals. One of the most rewarding transactions I was involved with was advising a large regional client on the disposal of a group company, with a vast range of properties which resulted in a great outcome for the client. However, a real highlight for me this year was returning after maternity leave to be greeted by clients who were genuinely pleased to see me. This was really rewarding and meant that what I do for them really does impact positively on their business and how it runs.
What do others say?
As a team clients tell us we are friendly and down to earth. It is always rewarding to receive good feedback from others, but for me the most rewarding comments come from clients who I have helped. A client recently told the team leader on a matter I worked on that our approach had been professional, pragmatic and good-natured, which he believed had been key to getting the job done.
