What can I do for you?
I am a lawyer in our corporate team with a diverse range of experience. Recently, I have assisted with the market buyback by a listed company of £2 million of its issued shares and helped a pioneering technology company successfully close a £4.5 million investment round. At the same time, I advised one of our annuity clients in the establishment of an SPV and subsequent acquisition of a £3 million property portfolio while also playing an active role as a member of the Mills & Reeve restructuring and insolvency group.
I am also a member of our national academies practice. As part of the academies team I advise our clients through the incorporation of the charitable trust itself, to and past the execution of the various funding agreements that are essential to the successful completion of the sponsors' objectives.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
While every transaction is different, the focal point remains the same: the achievement of the client’s objectives. An example of this is a recent purchase that I managed for our client of a business that developed and operated a chain of mobile homes. On this transaction, as on all, I had to balance the client’s legal responsibilities with their commercial objectives, while at the same time working within real world constraints. The completion of a successful purchase was a satisfying result for all involved; the client’s from the good-value and well-worked purchase of their target and the lawyer’s from a job well done.
