What can I do for you?
I’m a member of our employment law team. We specialise in providing advice to employers on all aspects of employment law.
I have experience in defending employers who are the subject of claims in employment tribunals and civil courts. My work also involves, among other things, drafting compromise agreements, staff handbooks and contracts of employment. I have experience in advising clients within the NHS, higher and further education and the private sector.
I am part of the firm's academies team, which specialises in advising in relation to the formation of academy schools.
I am also part of our equal pay unit, dealing with a large amount of equal pay claims on behalf of the NHS.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
When our clients are the subjects of tribunal claims, we will attempt to achieve the best possible solution for them, whether this is defending our client in an employment tribunal hearing or achieving a commercial settlement before reaching the hearing.
I recently assisted an NHS trust in successfully defending an appeal in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and then the Court of Appeal. The claim was of crucial importance, not only to the trust involved, but also to the NHS nationwide.
What do others say?
Clients regularly comment that we are friendly and easy to approach. Our clients feel comfortable picking the phone up to speak to a member of our team. They know that they will receive advice that is clear, practical and geared towards what our client wants to achieve.
