What can I do for you?
Life as a partner in our banking and finance team is a constant challenge but highly rewarding. I lead the real estate finance division within our banking team, working closely with my colleagues in our real estate and corporate teams.
My practice area draws on two specialisms: banking and real estate. I support my funding clients in the drafting and negotiation of funding and security documents and also in full and detailed due diligence on property assets, whether these are investment properties or a development project.
As a member of the only dedicated banking team in the eastern region, I advise on all aspects of property related finance and have experience in retail property and corporate matters, having worked in-house for a large retail plc.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
One of my most challenging recent projects involved the financing of a new racecourse in the UK. The project involved my colleagues in our construction, planning, corporate and intellectual property teams. It took a great deal of project management on my part to draw together the various specialisms and differing commercial approaches and complete the transaction to the client’s satisfaction. Clients tell me that they require commercial and practical advice delivered in a cost effective way. I am able to deliver on these points because I understand my clients’ businesses and objectives and work with them to achieve a speedy solution.

What else should you know?
I regularly provide seminars and training sessions to our clients and local professionals to keep them apprised of changes in the law and other topical issues. Our banking team holds a regular discussion forum for local banks and other funders where economic and other topical and local issues are discussed in an informal way over a coffee and a bacon roll.
