I’m a specialist in our banking and finance team. My work involves helping both lenders and borrowers on all aspects of acquisition finance and property and development finance. As a member of one of the most experienced and highly regarded banking and finance teams outside London, I also advise education and healthcare institutions on all aspects of debt finance.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
A recent highlight for me was leading our team on the negotiation of a £122.4 million loan for the University of Essex, ranked among the country’s best universities for teaching and research. Obtaining the loan was a major step for the university in realising its strategic plan, which includes enhancement of student facilities on campus and a major expansion of its internationally recognised research facilities.
It was a significant deal in any circumstances, but particularly because we were asked to complete the deal in a very short space of time. Our property team was also able to assist both bank and borrower with the property due diligence required.
