Your challenges
As a healthcare organisation, the changes and challenges you currently face are greater than ever before. Your reputation and image is everything. Your service will be judged by the way you are perceived.
Getting it wrong will be very damaging and bad for business. Journalists and the media are relentless and you need to be prepared to deal with them wisely and positively.
Achieving your ambitions
We have developed specialist media training that will equip you with essential skills and confidence. Our programme offers a unique blend of training from one of our lawyers with an in-house NHS and governance perspective and a TV journalist who has spent 20 years asking those tough questions and getting to the “nub” of a story.
Our aim is to help you learn to handle any situation, including an emergency news crisis, and to enable you to get a positive message out of any negative situation. The training will provide you with microphone and camera techniques as well as offering practical ways to cope with nerves and prepare for interviews so that you can think quickly and get your message across.
The training includes interactive theory sessions with real life cases and “hands-on” experience with television and radio interviews based on real-life scenarios. The sessions are filmed by a television camera operator and are followed by constructive feedback and discussion with you.
You will receive full course notes and materials, notes with hints and tips and a DVD copy of your interviews.
