What can I do for you?
I have specialised in family law for over eight years. I advise clients who are in the process of separating to enable them to deal with the numerous and difficult issues that arise at this time. My work involves not only dealing with divorce, separation and issues involving children, but also assisting couples who are intending either to live together or marry to try and avoid problems should they separate in the future.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
While I regularly represent clients whose issues are dealt with through the court system, it is important to me to be able to offer our clients options when they are faced with the consequences of a relationship breakdown. Having trained as a collaborative lawyer, I am able to offer my clients a different way of resolving the issues that arise following separation. This can avoid clients having to be involved with the court, and can be of particular benefit for parents who need to continue to communicate for the sake of their children, or simply wish to find a more amicable way to end their relationship.
What do others say?
We are very proud of our family team at Mills & Reeve and were delighted when this was recognised at the Legal Business Awards, where we won Private Client Team of the Year 2009. We aim to provide excellent clear advice tailored to the individual needs of our clients. Chambers UK describes us as having “a formidable reputation for providing cost-effective advice in the local market” and that we are quoted by our peers as being “just excellent at every level”.
What else should you know?
I belong to Resolution which is an association of family lawyers committed to a non-confrontational approach to family law issues. I am an active member of both the local committee of Resolution and involved nationally. Through our divorce.co.uk website, the team is able to provide detailed information to help people going through divorce and separation.
