Your challenges
Whether you are a private individual, a company director, a public sector organisation, a private company or a partnership in the event that you or your organisation are prosecuted for a road traffic offence then you will need expert advice and assistance to guide and support you through the process.
Achieving your ambitions
We are able to provide practical realistic advice and assistance tailored to meet your needs. This may include providing representation at a PACE interview, liaising with your insurers, plea bargaining with the prosecution. Our advocates can also represent you at court.
The strength you need
Our regulatory team has been advising and defending clients in the area of road traffic law for over 25 years. The team includes experienced advocates who can offer a one stop service. Our recent cases include:
- Successfully defending charges of manslaughter and death by dangerous driving in respect of the use of agricultural vehicles on the road
- Successfully negotiating the reduction of the charge brought against a farmer prosecuted for leaving mud on the road. We were also able to ensure that the conviction was against the farming company rather than the individual farmer
- Advising NHS trusts and private companies as well as private individuals in relation to charges alleging failure to provide driver information. In many cases proceedings were withdrawn as a result of our representations and costs awarded
- Representing a private individual both at the inquest and at the Magistrates’ Court on instructions from their road traffic insurers following a collision resulting in the death of a pedestrian.
Lawyers you can trust
Our regulatory practice is described in the Legal 500 directory as “responsive, practical and client focussed” and as providing “good clear robust advice on investigations.”
