Summary:
This briefing note examines the increasing importance of multi agency adult safeguarding procedures in protecting adults being cared for by the NHS. It also looks at the role that the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Court of Protection can play in safeguarding vulnerable adults. Finally, we look at proposals for law reform in relation to safeguarding.
