What can I do for you?
I am a solicitor who has specialised in family law since 2005. My work involves every aspect of family breakdown. Specifically, my work focuses on financial settlement and the future arrangements for children. I also have experience in applications by parents to remove children from the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
Supporting my clients’ aims and objectives
Professionalism and sensitivity are the two things that I never lose sight of. While I will always act in your best interests, this rarely involves the often financial and emotional stress of a court room. The best outcome is one that can be agreed. I pride myself in offering support and certainty during a period when answers seem hard to come by. A fair percentage of my work comes from personal referrals from people who I have helped in the past.
What do others say?
We are very proud of our family team at Mills & Reeve and were delighted when this was recognised at the Legal Business Awards, where we won Private Client Team of the Year 2009. We aim to provide excellent clear advice tailored to the individual needs of our clients. Chambers UK describes us as maintaining “an excellent reputation for cost-effective, high quality family work. As part of a nationwide network of offices, the team has the expertise to handle any and all family-related matters”.
What else should you know?
I am a member of Resolution, and have been heavily involved even prior to my qualification as a solicitor. Resolution is committed to finding reasonable and non-confrontational settlement to relationship breakdown and as a result of this I am committed to Resolution. As well as being on the regional committee of the Manchester Young Resolution I was also the previous Chairman of the West and North Yorkshire committee prior to my relocation to Manchester. I have also previously been a mentor for the College of Law, BPP Law School and Leeds University and have given talks to graduates on family law.
