I have over 15 years’ experience in advising a wide variety of clients on all aspects of investigations and claims arising from accidents/incidents. My experience includes asbestos related disease and fatal accident claims.
Since 2002, I have also undertaken enforcement work under the Care Standards Act 2000 on behalf of the national regulator for social care services. This has included prosecutions and emergency proceedings in the magistrates’ court as well as tribunal appeals.
Supporting my clients’ aims
I have represented various NHS trusts at inquests and tribunal hearings in relation to patient matters. My role involved not only undertaking the advocacy at the hearings but also supporting the staff required to attend as witnesses. Such hearings can be daunting, even for witnesses attending in a professional capacity. My clients have appreciated the help that I have been able to give with their preparation and in providing encouragement at the hearing.
