What can I do for you?
I specialise in commercial real estate work and my particular expertise is in major development projects, joint ventures and real estate finance. The majority of my clients are from the education and local authority sectors although I also have extensive experience of representing private sector developers and landowners. In recent years I have probably acted on most types of real estate matters for just about every type of client and I take great pride in being part of one of the leading teams of real estate lawyers in the country.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
Playing a key role in making my clients’ plans a reality is one of the most important parts of my job. Helping to achieve a meeting of minds and fostering a lasting relationship between the parties to a transaction are often the most challenging and rewarding parts of the work which my team and I do.
We are fortunate to be able to call upon a wide body of experience and market leading expertise across our team. This gives us an in depth understanding of our clients’ needs and a real grasp of what matters most to them. We make full use of this insight on a daily basis, regardless of whether we are acting on complex town centre redevelopments, major acquisitions and disposals, negotiating joint ventures to develop and use new teaching facilities or just granting simple leases.
What do others say?
We are often praised for the high quality of our expertise as well as our approachability. Most pleasing, however, are the comments from clients about the way we look after them and their interests. By way of example, one such comment which was included in Chambers UK was how clients applauded us for “skilfully pursuing and protecting [their] interests in negotiations”.
What else should you know?
The firm is also a member of UKSPA, the UK Science Parks Association and I am the main contact. I also speak frequently at conferences and seminars on real estate matters, particularly those of interest to our education clients.
