I head up our corporate team in Cambridge. After working for many years at Linklaters, I have over 15 years of experience in helping clients with mergers and acquisitions, buy-outs, flotations, shareholders’ agreements and corporate restructuring. Much of the team’s work has a significant international element, particularly inward investments. Because our team is one of the largest corporate teams outside the City, we are able to help our clients on substantial, complex and specialised transactions and to do so at regional prices
Supporting my clients’ ambitions
I recently led a team acting for US IT outsourcing giant Affiliated Computer Services Inc. on its acquisition of the Anix group of companies from Xploite plc. This complex transaction had a value of £31.5 million and with a team of specialist lawyers from across the firm we were able to get the deal signed in only six weeks – a very fast outcome. It was a particular pleasure to work for ACS on this deal as a year previously we had acted on the other side from them on their previous UK acquisition, the £35 million sale of Syan Holdings. ACS were so impressed by our work that they decided to use us on their next transaction.
