Harry Ramsden's sold to Deep Blue Restaurants

Mills & Reeve has acted on the sale of fish and chip chain Harry Ramsden’s for the Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG) to Reigate business Deep Blue Restaurants.

The company will retain an interest in the restaurant chain and the new company plans to keep the renowned branding and instantly recognisable name.

Craig Hodgson, Partner at Mills & Reeve said: “It is always good to work on a deal like this where the “seller” retains an interest in the business and preserves such an iconic brand.”

“This is an important strategic move for BRG and one which enables us to simplify our future business and allow us to focus on the opportunities for our core brands of Giraffe, Ed’s Easy Diner, Fishworks and the roll out of Slim Chickens, whilst still retaining an ongoing interest in the Fish & Chip sector,” BRG CEO Tom Crowley added.
