How long is the role?
Two years, full time.
Where is it based?
Cambridge or Birmingham, with travel to our other offices across the UK.
What happens over the two years?
The programme is structured in a similar way to our award-winning training contract for legal graduates. One of the firm’s project advisors will be a key point of contact for you, providing supervision and mentoring throughout the two years.
The aim of this year is to build your project management skills and get a good understanding of the world of law. You will:
- Undergo structured and on-the-job project management training
- Put learning into practice as a member of a number of business services teams
- Work across a number of the firm’s areas of expertise, such as private wealth, real estate and food and beverage
- Contribute to key internal projects, which could touch on the topics of client collaboration technologies, document automation and artificial intelligence
You will be sponsored by Mills & Reeve to complete the combined PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner course that gives a comprehensive overview of the PRINCE2® methodology – the most popular project management methodology in the UK.
It is anticipated that at the end of the two-year programme you would apply for and be offered a role within one of the business services teams.
Why are we running the programme?
Mills & Reeve might be a law firm, but it takes far more than lawyers to ensure we always provide an outstanding experience to our clients. We know that to achieve the best results we need excellent business services and project management professionals that apply the right processes, technology and resourcing. We have introduced this scheme to ensure that we are developing the people we need to grow our business.
When will you be recruiting for this programme?
We anticipate to recruit for this programme every two years, so we will likely be recruiting in the autumn of 2020 for a start date in September 2021.
