What can I do for you?

I am a real estate partner specialising in mixed use development work and large scale projects. This development expertise involves advising upon substantial development projects covering all aspects including: site assembly, development agreements, land sales/purchases, promotion agreements, leases and discussions and negotiations with third parties (utility providers and local authorities) in relation to infrastructure and statutory agreements. More recently this expertise has, in addition, involved me acting on renewable projects and for investment funds who focus on investment through development, which includes making the most of the recent office to residential permitted development rights. I like working in a collaborative way with clients, which ensures the job gets done with minimum fuss and in an enjoyable way.

Supporting my clients’ objectives

The clients I work for are ambitious, diverse and focused. I am currently working with a client on the phased development of a large scale sustainable urban extension project. This multi faceted site means I need to work alongside the client ensuring the legal drafting reflects the business rational and terms of the deal. Another recent matter for a different client meant negotiating a complicated building contract and lease amid large scale publicity and pressure around the opening of the first phase of the site, only six months after the deal had originally been negotiated.

What do others say?

Our team is viewed as friendly and approachable, providing practical as well as legal solutions and seen as an extension of our clients own teams. Legal 500 2016 describe us as "the strongest in the region, nothing short of excellent in every way" and me personally as "the Mary Poppins of the property world, diligent, tenacious and technically strong". Chambers 2016 state that clients describe me as "outstanding" and for which "nothing is too much trouble".

What else should you know?

As a firm, we circulate numerous publications to our clients to provide comments on recent legal and market developments. I am actively involved in the training we offer and provide our clients on real estate issues affecting their businesses. (To see details of our latest seminars, see the “Events and seminars” section on the right of this page.)
