Event description

We hope you can join us on 18 October for an opportunity to meet with your peers from NHS Trusts across the north east to discuss current issues and exchange advice and ideas.

This session will run from 12:30 until 14:00 and lunch will be provided.

Topic: South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust Estates Modernisation Programme – a case study

The estates modernisation programme at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust has been significant, including two new mental health units at Springfield Hospital and the development of the wider Springfield Village which will provide 1200 new homes, 32 acre park and a CHP energy centre. The Trust is now embarking on the second phase for the redevelopment of Tolworth Hospital.

Michael Whatley, real estate partner at Mills & Reeve, has been advising the Trust on this matter since commencement in 2014 including advice in connection with the initial business case and procurement of a development partner right up to the present day.

In this session Michael will share his insights into the project and lead the discussion.

Whatever the size of your capital project plans this will be a valuable insight into a significant project. There will be opportunity to ask questions and share your views and experiences as well as listening to others. Chatham house rules will apply. We look forward to a lively and insightful discussion.

Please do share this invite with your estates colleagues.

If you have dietary or accessibility requirements to enable you to take part, please let us know using our requirements form.
