National recognition for the corporate M&A team

We’re celebrating after our corporate M&A team was placed 9th in the UK in the latest Experian Legal Adviser Rankings.

The national ranking is for the number of deals the team have advised on, which is submitted to Experian's M&A (mergers and acquisitions) review.

As well, our eastern region team was ranked 2nd place in its region. This follows the eastern region team scooping the Corporate Law Firm of the Year Award at the Insider Central and East of England Dealmaker Awards 2022 (the second year in a row we have won that award) and caps a successful year in the region and across the UK for our deal teams.

James Hunter, head of corporate at Mills & Reeve, said: “This validates our strength and experience in the UK M&A market. Alongside our colleagues across the corporate finance community, we work hard to support clients through the deal process. This data confirms Mills & Reeve is a go-to firm for corporate M&A transactions in the UK.”

The corporate team overall has had a particularly busy year. Recently it advised an automotive technology hub and Italian defence expert on a partnership in the development of UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles). The team also advised AIM-listed Nexus Infrastructure on the sale of two networks worth £77.7 million as well as a $26 million fundraise for a UK data and analytics company.
