What can Ben do for you?

Ben advises clients on property related matters across a wide range of sectors, including real estate investment, private wealth, charities and social enterprise, owner managed businesses and mid-market. His role involves working both independently and as part of the wider Real Estate team on all aspects of commercial property law.

Supporting your ambitions

Ben has advised clients on innovative, first of their kind transactions. These include:

  • advising an institutional lender on one of the largest portfolio-based financing of property assets in the energy sector; and
  • taking the lead on property related matters for  a multinational retailer, which was rolling out asset-enhancing technology across a number of its stores.

Working on matters which involve a degree of unchartered territory has equipped Ben well for finding original solutions to traditional legal issues presenting themselves in new contexts, and tailoring advice to his clients accordingly.

What do others say?

Ben was part of the British Legal Awards Energy and Infrastructure Team of the Year (2016), which was praised for being "pragmatic, innovative and responsive".

What else should you know?

Before joining Mills & Reeve, Ben spent three months travelling around Europe in a camper van. He is a keen wild swimmer, and enjoyed the various rivers, lakes and seas he encountered along the way. While a great adventure, this trip did however serve to highlight an inadequate grasp of certain modern foreign languages!
