What can I do for you?

I’m a specialist in the complex but exciting field of planning and compulsory purchase. My work includes helping clients, such as developers, house builders, promoters, public sector bodies and landowners promote large-scale strategic development projects and urban regeneration schemes through the consenting process. As part of one of the UK’s best regarded planning teams, I advise on issues like planning applications, planning appeals, complex section 106 agreements, viability review mechanisms, legal challenges, community infrastructure levy and environmental impact assessments. I also advise on the use and implementation of compulsory purchase powers, which can often be an important factor in unlocking major infrastructure and development projects.

Supporting my clients’ objectives

As planning is one of the early hurdles for any development project, securing a robust and user friendly consent which enables clients to realise their ambitions for development schemes is a great part of my role. This is particularly so where (as can be the case with planning) unusual and innovative solutions are required to unlock issues.
