Building Safety: Register of higher-risk buildings has opened

The Building Safety Act 2022 introduced the concept of higher-risk buildings.  This means all buildings over 18 metres or 7 storeys in height with two or more residential units.

All in-occupation higher-risk buildings had to register with the new Building Safety Regulator by 1 October 2023. See Kate Rushworth's blog on this.

The government has now made what it calls the register of high-rise buildings available.  It can be searched by postcode.  Government guidance and access to the register is here
