Recently data security concerns have been raised about the use of period and fertility trackers given the sensitive and personal information involved.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is reviewing how period tracking apps and fertility tracking apps available to UK users, process their users’ personal information.
The ICO is keen to hear from users to help inform their review of how personal information is used by period tracking apps and fertility tracking apps. The regulator is considering whether users may experience harmful consequences from, or negatively impacted by, the way their personal information is used or shared by these apps.
