Mills & Reeve welcomes new associate to family and children team in Birmingham

The Birmingham office of national law firm Mills & Reeve has welcomed Victoria Potts to its growing family and children team, part of continued growth of the division nationally.

Victoria joins the fold at Mills & Reeve as an associate. Her background includes roles with Shoosmiths, the Gambling Commission and Gateley.

In her new role, Victoria’s responsibilities will include helping clients through a variety of family-related matters including divorce, financial proceedings, children, separation agreements, pre and postnuptial agreements, non-molestation and occupation orders, and cohabitation and trust of land and appointment of trustees. Victoria joins Katherine Kennedy, Stephanie Hawthorne and Rob Norris in Birmingham.

The team acts for professionals, entrepreneurs and other high net worth individuals, dealing with financial matters and children matters post-separation as well as an increasing amount of wealth protection involving pre and postnuptial agreements.

Katherine Kennedy, principal associate at Mills & Reeve, said: “In sensitive subjects such as family law, it is important to resolve matters in a way that considers the needs of the family as a whole, both with the commercial and emotional cost in mind and treating clients with empathy and patience throughout.

Victoria’s varied background has equipped her with a strong skill set, and puts her in an excellent position to handle the work we deliver and support our growing team. She’s made a seamless entry into our team and we are thrilled to have her on board.”

Victoria Potts, associate at Mills & Reeve, added: “It’s an honour to have joined the Mills & Reeve family team in Birmingham, an established division with a strong reputation for delivering excellent work with honesty and integrity on behalf of our clients. This leads to variety and high-quality cases coming into the firm, and I am looking forward to working with our clients and the Mills & Reeve team to achieve their objectives.”
