The search is on for the best tech businesses

Mills & Reeve has launched its annual search for the most pioneering technology companies in Yorkshire and the North West. Top Tech: Yorkshire and Top Tech: North West, in partnership with TheBusinessDesk.com, are once again looking to showcase cutting-edge companies which have put both regions on the map as a hub for technological development and innovation.

Now in its third year, Top Tech: Yorkshire is open to companies which have developed world-leading technology, are disrupting markets and whose technology and services are helping others become leaders in their fields. Top Tech: North West is hoping to recreate the fantastic feedback and excitement that the two Yorkshire reports have generated.

We are looking for companies across all sub-sectors including Healthtech and Medtech, whose innovations are transforming the delivery of healthcare and the health and wellbeing of patients, and in education where EdTech businesses are improving the performance of our educational institutions, teachers and students.

The judges also want to hear from companies in the FinTech sector where technological advancements are revolutionising the delivery of financial services; PropTech companies who are changing the face of the real estate sector in the ever-evolving digital landscape and companies operating the in ‘Tech for Good’ space who have developed technology to address social, economic or environmental challenges.

In what has been a severely disrupted year, we would like to hear from technology companies on how they have adapted during the coronavirus pandemic,  or how their technology has played a vital role in helping others adapt and keep trading through these difficult times.

Entrants will be judged on technological innovation, leadership, growth and financial performance, client service and delivery and employee engagement.

Richard Faulkner, MD from Silicon Valley Bank, and a judge for both reports said: “ The Top Tech report has become an integral part of the tech ecosystem and I have been extremely impressed by the wealth of innovative, fast-growing companies that have entered in previous years, many of whom have developed world-leading technology.  It has become an ideal platform to celebrate this talent and I’m looking forward to judging this year’s entrants.”

Entries will close on 6 November 2020. The companies who made it into the Top Tech: Yorkshire will be revealed on 9 December 2020. The report will be published on TheBusinessdesk.com and available for download.
