What can Miranda do for you?
Miranda is instructed on behalf of insurer clients to defend professional negligence claims brought against professionals. She has defended a range of professionals including solicitors, accountants and brokers. Primarily though, the majority of the cases with which Miranda deals relate to construction professionals, from surveyors, to architects, engineers and design and build contractors, from large companies to sole traders.

Construction cases can be complex, involve large sums of money (often multi-million pound) and a number of parties. Miranda has experience dealing with these types of claims, from the pre-action stage right through to proceedings, whether that is dealing with other parties, experts, mediators or counsel. She likes to get heavily involved and gets to know the issues inside and out. She is organised and focused, ensuring that every aspect of the matter is covered and her clients are one step ahead. Miranda isn't afraid to think outside the box and recognises the needs of her clients.
What else should you know?
Miranda has had a go at welding pipes, caulking, painting and generally anything involved in doing up a house. Her husband is a plumber so she is well used to DIY. This is why she finds construction cases particularly interesting and understands some of the basic principles of building and is keen to learn more.
