What can I do for you?
I am a professional support lawyer responsible for supporting the work of our lawyers doing commercial and public procurement work. I run in-house training and write legal updates, and am also available to assist on ad-hoc queries, which helps our lawyers to deliver high-quality advice to our clients. I also run an intranet site via which our procurement lawyers can share expertise, making for a more efficient and effective service to clients.
Supporting our clients
I also help our clients to keep up to date with legal developments and best practice. I circulate Public Procurement Newsbites to clients quarterly, a bulletin covering the latest developments in procurement law and offering practical commentary.
We are especially proud of our procurement portal, www.MRprocurement.com, a freely available resource centre and a mine of information on procurement law and advice on best practice, which we hope clients and others will find a useful free resource for more basic procurement law queries.
I also enjoy giving client seminars which are a great opportunity to get to know clients and understand the real-life challenges they face.
What else should you know?
I am a member of the Procurement Lawyers’ Association (PLA) which helps me to stay at the cutting edge of developments.
Before joining Mills & Reeve LLP in January 2007, I was a professional support lawyer at Clifford Chance LLP. Prior to that, I spent six years as a corporate lawyer at Slaughter and May, following a history degree at Trinity College, University of Cambridge and law school at the College of Law in London.
