The role

Flexible location - Cambridge, Norwich, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester.With the flexibility to be based in any of the five offices above this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well respected Bid team.As a member of the team you will work across the entire range of sectors covered by this leading national law firm, producing business-winning tenders. You will interpret the requirements for bids, advise legal teams on approach, and prepare, coach and mentor them for presentations and pitches to clients. Other responsibilities include strategic projects and input into the continuous development of systems and tender best practice.You will be expected to manage your own workload but draw upon the guidance of the head of the bids team and other members of the bids team. In addition at various points of the tender process it is likely you will work with the head of client care and various members of the business development team.You will be responsible for the production of tenders across the firm ensuring bid management best practice at all stages.  The role encompasses both managing the bid process and actually drafting the material, so skills in both areas are essential.

The person

Given the challenges of this role, it is likely that your background and experience will include previous experience of bids within a professional services environment either as part of the marketing team or a legal / accountancy professional.

Has strong commercial acumen and an understanding of our business and clients / prospective targets businesses and their industriesIs self-managed and confident in setting and prioritising their own work agenda, has excellent written as well as verbal communication skillIs confident and able to build sustainable relationships with internal colleagues being organised and methodical in how they approach their workHas excellent spelling and attention to detailIs a team playerIs willing to take on new responsibilities and challengesHas an an ability to work under pressure and be flexible as required to get the job done and Has a solution orientated approach.
