What I do
I am responsible for supporting the work of our employment lawyers. That means providing in house training to make sure their knowledge and skills are up to date, as well as providing briefings on legal developments. It is also my job to make sure our standard documents are in good shape, and in general to help the team deliver the best possible service to its clients.
Supporting our clients
It is not just our own lawyers who are busy people. We think it is important share the knowledge developed by our professional support lawyers with clients too. My work includes:
- Editing a monthly employment law bulletin, e-Post, which is now delivered to over 1,000 contacts
- Keeping our employment law blog up to date
- Providing briefings on our website on significant cases and legislation
What else should you know?
I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and PEN (a network for employment professional support lawyers) and write regularly for the New Law Journal. This enables me to exchange ideas and news with colleagues from other firms and helps keep me up to date.
