The survey of more than 8,000 people working in private practice law firms asks employees to rate their firm’s pay, career development, culture, work/life balance and office.
They were also ranked third in best work/life balance with a score of 84%. Staff praised the firm's hybrid working policies and said they're given the "autonomy to be responsible for ourselves".
Some of the great comments received by Mills & Reeve employees included:
“The real difference is that I have much more control over when I do the hours. My work can flex more at Mills & Reeve, and there aren't that many last minute scrambles for evening calls (and barely any necessary weekend work).”
“[The culture is] still our strength, even if it's hard to distil exactly what it is. Just being decent, normal, hard-working people, I guess. The only issue is that everyone is sometimes too polite.”
