Recorded on 18 October 2023. This webinar explores Biodiversity Net Gain and is brought to you by Callum Ross, an environmental lawyer and James Dorrell a planning lawyer at Mills & Reeve LLP. James provides an overview of the new planning condition requiring 10% Biodiversity Net Gain on all new planning applications and the relevant legislation in the Environment Act. He'll also look at how we expect this to work in practice, the impact on developers and options/solutions open to them.
This webinar explores the broader implications of habitat management agreements and we are fortunate to be joined by Dominic Buscall, Co owner/Manager of Wild Ken Hill. Dominic will talk through his experiences of employing different land management techniques across neighbouring land. He will compare profitability, the pros and cons of different types of agreement, and highlight key considerations for the wider farming business and estate.
Reflecting on the 2023 ELM update and the 6 added standards for the Sustainable Farming Incentive, our first webinar focuses on stacking and bundling. Kate Russell of Tellus Natural Capital considers whether it's possible to ‘have your cake and eat it’ in an overview discussion of interest to institutional landowners, landed estate owners and in-hand farmers.
