What can I do for you?
I am a partner in our family law team. I can work with you to find a solution to the difficulties that you face on the breakdown of your relationship. I have over twenty years of experience working with divorcing couples. I have a clear, constructive and creative approach to the divorce process. Working with you, I can use my skills to your best advantage either as a lawyer in the court process, as a collaborative family lawyer or as a mediator.
Supporting my clients’ hopes for the future
I have been involved in some of the most high profile divorce cases of recent years. Whatever the nature of the case, I have kept the drive that drew me to family law in the first place – a wish to do the very best possible work that I can for people who face a very difficult period of their lives. I find nothing more rewarding than building a relationship of trust and confidence with a new client and working with that person to find a way through the turmoil of family breakdown.
What do others say?
We are very proud of our family team at Mills & Reeve and are delighted that each of our teams across the country are rated in Band 1 in both the Legal 500 and Chambers UK. We pride ourselves on giving excellent clear advice tailored to the individual needs of our clients. Chambers UK has described us as having “a formidable reputation for providing cost-effective advice in the local market” and that we are quoted by our peers as being “just excellent at every level”.
Clients are often kind enough to acknowledge the support they feel they have received from us. One of my own clients kindly said “What can I say? Wow springs to mind. You really are amazing! I know it’s your job to do all these whizzy things but I’m really impressed. It’s such a clear and succinct document, you’ve shown every possibility known to man practically. There are so many ways to look at the different ideas and you’ve described them brilliantly.”

I belong to Resolution, which is an organisation of over 5,000 family lawyers at the heart of which is a code of conduct requiring us to deal with family cases constructively. I have twice been elected to sit on the National Committee of Resolution and am a past Chair of the West and North Yorkshire region of the Association. I am an elected Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. It's also worth visiting our divorce advice website, which is the UK’s premier free resource for those going through divorce or separation. The website also provides more information about our team of family and divorce lawyers working in Leeds.
