What can I do for you?
I am a partner in our real estate disputes team. I have been involved in a number of complex property disputes for investors/landlords, developers, occupiers/retailers, educational and public sector clients both in giving advice and taking matters to court/arbitration. In particular, I have worked on many matters involving insolvency related property issues both for and against insolvency practitioners.
Supporting my clients’ aims
This area of law involves many archaic legal concepts in areas such as dilapidations, service charges, rent reviews, lease renewals and possession. It is crucial that our clients understand at the outset what matters to them and what does not, and what their aims and objectives are. Additionally, we want our clients to feel in control of the outcomes and the costs associated with potential legal disputes.
I have recently been involved with a public sector client in a dispute over rights of way onto and off key strategic pieces of land relating to the Olympic Park site where there was little room for negotiation. I have also advised a major on-line retailer with its rent review of one of its distribution hubs of over ½ million square feet.
What do others say about me?
Legal 500 says I am "unflappable, and one of the best prop lit solicitors in the country".
