What can I do for you?
I am a consultant (formerly a partner) within our corporate team, with more than 35 years' experience of mergers and acquisitions (both in the UK and cross border) as well as corporate governance for public and private companies. From June 2012 I have taken on the role of leading our firm’s international business development initiative. Previously I headed up our substantial business client group.
Supporting my clients' objectives
Whether working with clients in the UK or internationally, their needs vary enormously in terms of scale, intensity and technical range. However, in my experience, the most successful client relationships have three common elements:
- information – client and adviser are constantly well informed
- communication – prompt, clear and intuitive
- trust – a relationship based on open minds giving the freedom and security to advise without reservation
If these elements are in place then the relationship can flourish and have real value. I see building those relationships both in the UK and abroad as one of my strengths.
What others say about me?
I have been nominated as a leading adviser in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK guides for many years. I have a reputation for finding solutions and enabling my clients to achieve their objectives. In Legal 500 I was recently recommended for my "accomplished work, a pragmatic approach and the quality of [my] clientele".
What else should you know?
I am a fanatical supporter of Norwich City and an enthusiastic (rather than good) golfer. Aside from my consultancy I am a non executive director of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival (one of the leading Arts Festivals in the UK) and a council member of a leading independent school.
