As part of a regular review of ODEON’s current support, it was decided to reduce ODEON’s preferred firms from over 10 to just three. This decision was taken in order to streamline processes, gain cost efficiencies and support the on-going development of a cohesive legal and compliance framework for the business.
Following a competitive process, Mills & Reeve and Eversheds Sutherland won a place alongside each other on the full-service legal panel, for an initial term of two years. Shoosmiths were also appointed on a limited basis for specific corporate requirements.
Richard Santy, employment partner at Mills & Reeve, said: “We’re looking forward to starting work with the ODEON team and our organisations share many core values. We relish the opportunity to help ODEON achieve their business objectives over the next few years, centred on maintaining their position as the number one cinema brand in the UK and Ireland.”
Chris Thomas, ODEON Group Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, added:“These appointments are a positive step on our journey as a legal team. The knowledge and expertise of these firms not only adds to, but also compliments, that of our in-house legal team. We look forwards to delivering the best results for our business, colleagues and our guests.”
