James is a principal associate in the firm's real estate practice based at the London office focusing on landlord and tenant asset management work as well as development and investment matters.
James is part of a team consisting of over 100 real estate lawyers, and has access to other specialist lawyers within the firm's planning, construction and corporate tax teams.
Supporting your ambitions
James acted for a client on a mixed-use scheme from the site assembly stage, a planning agreement with complex affordable housing and financial obligations and further supplemental agreements necessitated by changes to the scheme as it was built to a pre-let to a well known supermarket.
The client subsequently went into administration. James was retained by the administrator and worked with them to negotiate with the off-plan purchasers and pre-let tenants to complete their transactions notwithstanding the legal and other issues arising from the administration resulting in the realisation of proceeds quickly to repay the secured lenders.
