Building Safety Bill - Limitation extensions for the Defective Premises Act

As part of the response to the Grenfell fire tragedy, the Government has announced that the limitation period for bringing a claim under the Defective Premises Act (DPA) will be extended from 6 to 15 years.  The change will be introduced via the Building Safety Bill. Nothing in the bill limits this change to cladding or fire related issues. As things currently stand the changes to the DPA will cover other defects as well.
