The Advisory Board of the ConcentriCity Alliance

We are delighted to have joined the Advisory Board of the ConcentriCity Alliance.

This alliance brings together Transport for Greater Manchester, the Northern Automotive Alliance, Salford City Council, Cisco CREATE, The Landing, the Alliance Manchester Business School, the TravelSpirit Foundation and other partners to strengthen the UK’s commercialisation capability in the area of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles.

Mills & Reeve held a Driverless Revolution event in Manchester in September 2016 to spark discussion about Connected and Autonomous Vehicles in the north of England.

Paul Knight, who chaired that discussion, said: “One of the key messages from our event was collaboration will fast-track development. It is fantastic to see partnerships in this area developing. Having major organisations sharing their expertise will maximise the potential of the exciting new technology.”

The ConcentriCity project aims to pilot a flexible, on-demand transport service and demonstrate driverless capability on the roads of Salford by 2020.
